Toilet Bowl Leaks

Many minor home maintenance problems can easily first be determined by the homeowner. One common problem is a leaking toilet; one that tends to leak from the tank  to the bowl. Determining if there actually is a leak is a simple procedure. Fill a one cup (approximate) container with colored water and pour into the tank on the back of the toilet. (You will have to first remove the lid). Let the colored water sit in the tank over night. If colored water is in the actual commode bowl in the morning, you can be assured of a leak.
