Brown Sugar

Here’s a quick tip: Unless baking is a common practice in your household, brown sugar may not always be handy. Keep molasses on hand and sugar can quickly be converted into brown sugar in any amount needed.

Using a food processor, combine 1 cup sugar with 2 tablespoons molasses

A mixer can be used, however, it takes several minutes and doesn’t produce as smooth a result

Store brown sugar in an airtight container in the pantry. For hard, compacted brown sugar, store a slice of soft bread in the container.  The moisture from the bread will revive the soft texture.
