Just recently, I began purchasing organic foods for our family.  After comparing prices between organic and non-organic, I decided this would be a gradual conversion. Following no particular rationalization,  USDA organic  coffee was the first purchase followed by organic milk.  Organic peanut butter followed.  Deliberating on which foods were more pesticide saturated than others, I did a little ” research”.  Vegetables, fruits and meats were the next items to go under the microscope and the following video proved to be helpful for me. I’ve provided the link and will let you be the judge in the controversy….

Dirty Dozen: peach, apple, bell pepper, celery, nectarine, strawberry, cherry, kale, lettuce, grape (imported), carrot, pear

Clean 15: onion, avocado, sweet corn, pineapple, mango, asparagus, sweet peas, kiwi, cabbage, eggplant, papaya, watermelon, broccoli, tomato, sweet potato (other websites also list bananas)
